Print Design – Adobe Illustrator

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health issue.  Their mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

Theresa, with the American Cancer Society’s Southeast Region, came to me needing a design for an upcoming Family Fun Fest being held on Pelican Island in Sebastian, Florida. The design would be used for promotional apparel, other merchandise, and print collateral, as well as through social media and email marketing. The event was focused on cancer prevention. Activities there would address the foundational principals of reducing cancer risk. This was to be a family-friendly event, focused on physical activity, good food, health tips, yoga, Zumba, a 5K, obstacle courses,  bicycle safety, as well as music and dancing. They would also celebrate survivors and remember loved ones sho lost a cancer battle. The design would create a fun identity, serve as sponsor amenity and lend succession interests.

Angela was great to work with, she took the time to really talk about the event we were trying to put together and the audience we wanted to reach. She designed several options for a new event t-shirt and sent us drafts to share with volunteer committee members. Our event, unfortunately, has been postponed and is now in a 'revamp' of the committee. The project is still alive and we hope to have our community wearing Angela's artwork in the fall!
